Experience

Hans Jasperson has been delivering fact-based information and analysis to business leaders, policymakers, and consumers for over a decade. As a fact checker for The Balance, Investopedia, and Treehugger since 2019, he has worked to ensure the quality and reliability of hundreds of finance and business articles.

Hans previously served for four years as the director of public policy research for Management & Training Corporation, a company that contracts with government agencies to run correctional facilities and workforce training programs. There he prepared policy briefs on criminal justice, education, and career training for the U.S. Congress, federal agencies, and policymakers in several states. Before joining MTC, Hans was a program director for Salt Lake Community Action Program, where he worked with low-income communities to advocate for policies and resources to address economic inequality.

Education

Hans received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah.
